Scituate Tides 18, Boston Bombers 0
Scituate advances to the final in a game where everything went right for the Tides, and all went wrong for EB. Monti (7IP) and Derek Happas combine on the bump for the 3-hit shutout.
Congratulations to East Boston on a terrific season. Both sides expected a close battle to the end, but it was just one of those nights. |

Jeremy Winters with a walk off RBI single in the bottom of the 9th wins it for Scituate. Rob Monti was dealin, going the distance with 20, yes 20, K's. One mistake to Demartinis in the 8th that was sent into orbit for a two run homer.
Cavagnaro pitched very well for EB, keeping the Tides off balance for most of the day.
Great game under great conditions. |

Scituate Tides 6, N. Andover Thunder 0
Pitching carried the day again as Scituate completes the sweep at Lexington HS. Tim Hart allowed just 2 infield singles in the 3rd and did not allow a ball to leave the infield all night. He finished with 12 K's.
After a rough 1st inning Don Lindsay settled in pitched extremely well for North Andover. |
