Fitzy cruised through 6 for the win. Josh Leet led the Sox with 3 solid hits and some stellar play at 3rd base. Pill continued his clutch hitting knocking in a run in the 5th.

Tom Dowey was in control in consecutive starts against Brockton allowing only 2 runs over 6. Mike Barthel led the hit parade with 2 triples and single, hitting 2 balls 400+ ft. Churchill, Spadafino,Varakis & Deane each had 3 hits a piece with Spadifino flashing the leather at short(with a little help from Barthel). Also 2 nice running catches by Lebrun in center.

Well pitched game by both teams.
Dan Pill allowing 1st hit in 6th for Sox and his frisbee pitch worked well. Paul Laurin scattered 6 hits over 6 innings by nibbling at the strike zone and working on the mound about as fast as Karpo can run. Laurin had a 2 run single in the 6th to bring the Thunder within 1 run.
Waltham then called upon The Wiz, Jay Wisner who comes in to secure the win throwing 6 pitches in 7th.

Low energy game from both sides. Sox jumped out to early lead, but Mets came back to tie it up until Wisner came in and was lights out, striking out 9 in 3 innings. Jimmy Zagami pitched well, but wasn't helped by some defensive lapses. Fricker & Levensaler lead the Sox with 2 hits and rbi each.

Dan Pill goes the distance on the hill and kept the Thunder sticks at bay. Waltham hit pretty consistenly all night but the big blow was a bases loaded infield pop up error by the Thunder defense that led to 4 unearned runs.
After a terrible start, the defending champs have rattled off four in a row.
