The Braves shake up their lineup looking for a spark and come through with a clutch come from behind victory over Somerville at Rogers. Somerville had plenty of chances early. In the first 3 innings, the Braves defense twice turned double plays with the bases loaded to end Somerville threats. Trailing 3-1, Somerville pitching walked the bases loaded to start the Braves 6th. Sullivan then had a SAC-Fly, Hudson a 2-run double, Ramsdell an RBI single and Koris a 2-run triple to round out the scoring for the Braves.

Braves hurlers Moody and Schlesinger kept the powerful Somerville bats quiet for the first 5 innings scattering 5 hits with 3 runs. Greeley allowed no runs on just 1 hit and struck out 3 in the final two innings to pick up the win.

Morse pitched very well for Somerville allowing only 1 run on 5 hits with 1 BB, 3 K's in 5 innings but ended up with a no decision.

Rockies ace Mike McCarthy (4-0)turns in another dominating performance taking a PERFECT GAME 6 1/3 innings. After retiring the first batter of the seventh, the Braves James Ramsdell belted a triple to spoil perfect game and the no-hitter. The Braves also avoid the shutout as Ramsdell scored on the following batter's ground-out. Certainly worth a mention was veteran centerfielder Dave Mitrou's total disregard for his body to make a spectacular diving catch on a fourth ininng gap shot, which at the time was instrumental in preserving McCarthy's gem.

Offensively, Dan Jalbert continued to lead the Rockies' offensive attack tallying 3 more hits including a line-drive blast over the left field fence for his first homer of 2009. Gary Moran chipped in with two more hits.
