The Dodgers open 2009 with a 4-2 win over the defending champion Bluefish behind stellar pitching from Kyle Breidenstine. Breidenstine (6 innings, 6 hits, 1 BB and 4 K's) picked up his 1st YBL win in a great effort. DH Gregg Smith and 3B Matt Grimes both had 2 hits and 2 RBIs to lead the Harbor Point offense in the team's first home game at Ronan Park.

The Dodgers got out in front in the 1st after RF Jeff Ayers and CF Jay Shatto (2 hits) singled off of West Roxbury starter Dan Lambrecht. Smith plated in both runners with a 2-out single. The Fish fought back in the 4th with a solo shot to left by SS Jason Recore. 1B Sean Glavin followed with a double and later scored on 2B Mike Lembo's single.

Harbor Point took the lead the same inning when Grimes singled with the bases loaded, scoring 2B Steve Defusco and Smith. Dodger closer Marc Skipper came on in the 7th and picked up the save, starting a text book 1-6-3 DP to end the game.
