Game 3 was a great duel between Mike Lewis of the Brewers and Kyle Jones of the Bluefish. Lewis retired the first 11 of the night, and took a no-hitter into the 5th. Jones found himself in some trouble via the walk, but matched goose eggs until the 5th. With runners on 1st and 3rd and 2 outs, Jones commits a Balk, allowing Muccio to score from 3rd and give the Brewers a 1-0 lead. Bottom of the 5th, after Chris Hartery lead off with the 1st Bluefish hit, a 1 out hit batsman made it 1st and 2nd. Bluefish called for a double steal, in which the throw to 3rd got away, allowing Hartery to score from 3rd. After a ground out, Chris Demers' infield single with 2 outs scored the 2nd Bluefish run. To the 7th, after 2 walks and a sacrifice bunt, the Bluefish walk Iafolla to load the bases. Jones' 140th pitch of the night induced a 6-4-3 double play to end the game. After a few errors and ball lost in the dusk, the Bluefish found themselves down 5-0 in the bottom of the first inning of Game 3. But the hosts scratched and clawed as Kyle Jones CG, 8 Ks) kept the Bulldogs' bats at bay. Jason Recore (2 hits, 3 runs) knocked in the go-ahead runs with a double in the fourth, as the Bluefish came back from their biggest deficit in team history to defeat the Bulldogs by a score of 9-6 for their 13th straight home victory. It was their third come-from-behind win in their last four playoff games. Tardugno was the tough-luck loser for Malden, and D'Entremont launched a 2-run double in the first. Game 4 is at Rogers at the series resumes Friday night.

Wild game at Maplewood. Malden scored 2 in the bottom of the 1st and rode the arm of Ken Olisky for 3 perfect innings, and a shutout through 4. In the 5th, after an error, Sean Glavin hit a long 2 run home run to tie the game at 2. As quickly as the Bluefish tied the game, Malden went ahead 4-2 on a long home run by Tom Englehart. It remained 4-2 into the 7th, where the Bluefish scored 5 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks, highlighted by a Mike Lembo single making it 4-3, a Jason Recore bases loaded walk that tied the game, a 2 run single by Al Becker making it 6-4, and a Bobby Foote Sac Fly. Bluefish starter Nate Titcomb, pitching for the first time in over 3 weeks, kept the Fish in it, going 5 innings giving up 4 hits and 4 runs. Matt Smith pitched a scoreless 6th for the win, and Ian Titcomb pitched a scoreless 7 for the save.

Two of the top hitting teams matched up in the rubber game of the 3 game series at Billings on Monday Night. Jon Morse and Chris Demers were on top of their games. Somerville scored first on an RBI Double by Justin Crisafulli, scoring the on base machine Sal Mendonca to make it 1-0. An error on the next play scored Crisafulli to make it 2-0. The Bluefish finally responded in the 5th. Chris Hartery's SF made it 2-1, and after an error to tie the game, Sean Glavin's RBI single to right made it 3-2 Bluefish. Demers went 6 up 6 down from there, propelling the Bluefish to a 3-2 win, and advancing the Bluefish to the Semifinals. Hats off to the Alibrandis, who were complete class throughout the series, and should be commended for one of the best runs in Amateur Sports, not only in Boston but anywhere.

Steve Lambert singled, stole 2nd, and scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th on a grounder by Chuck Killens as the A's beat the Bluefish 3-2. The game featured great pitching by both teams, starters John Kostas for the Al Thomas Club and Chris Sandini for East Boston. Aiden Powers came on in relief in the 5th inning and was dominant for 5.2 innings (1 hit, 11 K's) in picking up the win. Sandini allowed 2 runs in the first on 1 hit, then settled down to keep Al Thomas hitters at bay through a gritty performance. Steve Lambert and Liam Powers led the A's offense with 2 hits each, with several players on both teams making great defensive plays.

In an extremely well played ball game, the Rockies come out on top as a result of another gem by ace Mike McCarthy. The Rockies defense was perfect, but the offense mustered only three hits and manufacted the only two runs they would need. The 'Fish got multi hit games from Swaz (3-3) and Caprio(2-3). Demers pitched very well and took a tough loss.

Al Becker's grand slam broke a 2-2 tie and propelled the Bluefish to a 6-2 win on Saturday over Somerville at Trum Field. Becker went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI. Chris Sandini picked up his 3rd win of the season going the distance. Devon Davis had 2 hits for Somerville.

The Bluefish broke out the hitting sticks at Billings. The Fish were led by three hits from Chris Caprio and two each from Jason Recore, Al Becker, Chris Hartery and Jeremy Creveling. Kyle Jones went 4.1 on the hill, and struck out 8, allowing only one hit. The Titcomb brothers finished it with Nate getting five outs for the win, and Ian getting the last three, including the last two on a nifty 1-6-3 DP. Ryan Carey was on base three times for the Devils.

After being silenced for most of the day Sunday versus Medford, the Bluefish bats responded with 14 hits and many other hard hit balls in a 8-2 win on Monday Night at Savin Hill. 7 of the 9 Bluefish starters had at least 1 hit, with 6 out of 9 collecting multiple hits. Bobby Foote led the Bluefish offense with 3 hits and 3 RBI, while Becker, Hartery, Glavin, Recore, and Williams each collected 2 hits a piece.

The Bluefish offense was led by Jason Recore's 2 hits, 3 runs scored and 2 stolen bases out of the leadoff spot. Tyler Norton was very good on the mound for Savin Hill, holding the Bluefish to 2 hits over 4 2-3 innings, before 2 bases loaded walks did him in.

Chris Caprio's RBI double with 2 outs in the 6th scoring Bobby Foote propelled the Bluefish to a 4-3 win over a tough Brighton Black Sox squad Tuesday Night at Rogers. Kyle Jones went the distance for the win, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 10. Aaron Greenblatt was tough on the mound all night for the Black Sox. He limited the Bluefish to only 2 hits entering the 6th inning, when the Bluefish finally got to him for 2 runs on 3 hits, capped off by Caprio's Double. Five different Black Sox had hits in defeat.

It took a while to shake off the rust, but the Bluefish pulled through in defeating the South Boston Saints 14-4 on Monday Night at Ronan. In their first game in 7 days, Jon Tenney had shut the Bluefish down through 4 innings. But Southie went to the bullpen, and the Bluefish went to work, scoring 13 runs off 2 relievers in turning a 3-1 deficit into a 14-3 lead. Chris Caprio (4 RBI 1 HR) and Al Becker each had 3 hits in the win for East Boston, while Santosuosso, Hartery (3 RBI) and Glavin each had 2 hits. Wintrow and Stephenson each had 2 hits, and Sean Benoit hit a long HR for Southie in defeat.

On a cold night at Ross, the lights are what finally ended the game for both teams. The Bluefish rallied with 3 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th to tie their biggest comeback win in team history to defeat the Maddogs 6-5. Newcomer Chris Hartery put the Bluefish over the top with a bases clearing triple in the bottom of the 6th to cap off a 2-4 night with 4 RBI. Chris Demers picked up the win in relief, pitching out of a 1st and 2nd nobody out situation in the 6th. Kenny Luongo had both Maddog hits.
