Dodgers break out of a six game slump behind the strong pitching of Chris Michienzi. Michienzi (2-0) pitched his 1st complete game in the YBL, allowing 7 hits, 1 walk, 1 earned run and 5 strikeouts.
The offense was big all night, and it was led by catcher Steve DeFusco (4-5, double, triple, 2 runs, 2 RBI). LF Steve Walsh went 2-2 with a triple, 2 runs and 4 RBI, SS Derek Barauskas was 2-5 with 2 runs, 2 SB's and an RBI. 1B Jared Doucette also added 2 hits, with a double and an RBI. Everyone chipped in, as every Dodger reached base at least once.
Cambridge starter Eric Hannah took a tough loss in 6 innings of work. He pitched around 150 pitches on a tough night of work. Greg Megadehsian and A.J. LeBrecque added 2 hits each for the Spinners. |
