Malden used of its two hits tonight to help score a run in the first inning. Malden Scored on a Joey Eugenio Walk, a passed ball, a Tom Englehardt single and a "Donkey" Del Rio RBI groundout.

Ken Olisky and Tyler Norton were the story the rest of the way. Olisky pitched a complete game 2 hitter. One of the hit was a legged out infield single by Kaye in the 2nd. Olisky threw 80 pitches and 58 for strikes.

Tom Englehardt had both hit for Malden.

The game time was 90 minutes.

Savin Hill took a 4-1 lead after 3 but the Braves mounted a comeback in the 5th scoring 5 runs on a bases loaded walk and two 2-RBI singles by Tracy and Cashman (3-4, Run, 2 RBI). Nick Foundas had a rough 4th inning allowing 6 hits in a row to Hornet batters but held on for the win. Eric Lochiatto shut the door in the 7th with a 1-2-3 inning to get the save.

Matt Kirk had an outstanding outing in relief for Savin Hill but unfortunately the damage had already been done. Kirk went 3.1 innings allowing only 1 hit and had 6 K's. Gary Kaye led the Hornet offense with 2 hits, 3B and 2 RBI.

The Big Train, The Unit, The Ogre, The "E" Dog, Eamonn McDonough returned from Iraq and threw a complete game. The Dogs could have made it easier on Eamonn and not committed 3 errors which led to 3 unearned runs. Sargeant McDonough finished with 8 K's and only 2 walks. Not a bad job after being off for two years.

Offensively the Dogs put together 18 hits, 6 walks and a hit batter. Maguire, Sablone, Cunningham and Kelley each had 3 hits. Hanley and Gusdorf each had 2 hits. Crovo had 2 walks and was hit by a pitch.

A gutsy Savin Hill Team never quit and battled the entire night.

This was the 6th win in a row for Medford.

Scott MacKenzie got his first win in the Yawkey league tonight pitching the complete game for Savin Hill. This is Savin HIll's fourth win of the season. Savin Hill's offense was led by Nate Hodor who had three hits with three runs five RBIs. Included was Nate's second homerun of the season.

Rookie Pitcher Tyler Norton had another solid Start for the Savin Hill Hornets picking up his first win of the season. The hornets were able to string together some runs early and with the help of a good defensive performance, along with a lot of ground balls, were able to maintain the lead. Some troublesome walks in the late innings posed a threat when Nate Hodor came in to close out the game to pickup his first save of the season in two innings of work.

Savin Hill got off to a quick start, batting through the order and scoring 3 runs in the first. Sean Tupper overcame a tough first inning where he suffered 2 unearned runs, and settled in to hold the Hornets bat quiet, collecting 11 Ks. The Brewers broke through on a bases clearing double by Will Lawton to take the lead in the 5th and never looked back.

Evan Ward and Paul Tagliaferri collected 2 hits each for the Hornets.

After being silenced for most of the day Sunday versus Medford, the Bluefish bats responded with 14 hits and many other hard hit balls in a 8-2 win on Monday Night at Savin Hill. 7 of the 9 Bluefish starters had at least 1 hit, with 6 out of 9 collecting multiple hits. Bobby Foote led the Bluefish offense with 3 hits and 3 RBI, while Becker, Hartery, Glavin, Recore, and Williams each collected 2 hits a piece.

The rain held off in Brighton long enough for the Braves to pick up their first victory of the season. Ryan Ouellete got things going in the 1st with a bases loaded 2-run single. Jared Cianciolo followed that up with an RBI single of his own. Nick Foundas pitched well for the Braves allowing only 3 hits through 4. Tiring after the 4th, the Hornets collected 6 hits and 2 runs in the next 2 innings. Justin Depasse finished things off in the 7th with a 1-2-3 inning. Ouellete led the Braves offense with 4 hits, 1 run and 4 RBI.

Ben Drayn led the Savin Hill offense going 3-4 with a SB. Michel and Tagliaferri had 2 hits each for the Hornets.

Chris Sandini pitched 6 shutout innings, leading the Bluefish to a 6-0 win over Savin Hill on Wednesday Night. Sandini gave up 2 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 11. Ian Titcomb made his Bluefish debut getting Savin Hill out 1,2,3, in the 7th with 2 strikeouts. The Bluefish offense was led by Jason Recore's 2 hits, 3 runs scored and 2 stolen bases out of the leadoff spot. Tyler Norton was very good on the mound for Savin Hill, holding the Bluefish to 2 hits over 4 2-3 innings, before 2 bases loaded walks did him in.

The Savin Hill Hornets had their second victory on Tuesday night v the South End Astros, brining their record to 2-2. The hornets bats came alive totaling 10 hits for 9 runs. Second year catcher Nate Hodor had the team's first home run of the season with a three run jack in the second inning, rounding out a seven run inning. Second year pitcher Nick Young threw 6 stellar innings allowing only two runs while striking out 7 South End batters.

The Savin Hill Hornets pulled out their first victory of the season behind rookie pitcher Tyler Norton. This was likely not the cleanest game played in the YBL tonight as pitchers from both teams issued many walks over the course of the game. However San Hill's bats came alive tonight after not hitting well in the season opener, totaling 12 hits in the seven inning contest. Rookie John Higgins had a noticeable performance on the base path reaching base 5 times and scoring 4 times.

Nick was aided by Dan Ciocca 2 hits, 2 runs & 2RBI; Joe Barresi walked 3 times, scored twice & had a double; Jack Ownes big run scoring double in 1st and Andy McAllister's 2 hit performance.
