Boston Havoc 9, Middleboro Mocka Rays 0
The Havoc sting the Rays to remain undefeated with a 9-0 shutout.
Led by rookie pitcher Luke Hils, the Havoc enjoyed a complete game shutout. Hils allowed just 5 hits without a base runner in scoring position until the final frame. Hils improved to 4-0 on the season and lowered his ERA to a sparkling 0.82.
Havoc's two-hitter, Ryan Foley, led all other efforts, going 3-4 with 2 triples and an RBI. Romello Carbuccia, back from injury, went 2-4 with a double, RBI, and web gems in the field. Rookie Nate Perkins also shined with a 2-3 effort with 2 doubles and 2 RBI.
A good Rays team finds themselves in unfamiliar territory having dropped 3 straight. They will have a week off before facing the 7-2 Lobos.
The Havoc head right back into the ocean to face a 6-2 Marlins team that returns Cy Young and MVP award winner Sean O'Neill. |
