Johnny Cave hits a walk off single in the bottom of the 9th to edge the Black Sox 3-2
Danny Lumb started the game for the Sabers, pitching 4 scoreless innings, while striking out 5.
David Montiverdi came into relief and pitched 4 solid innings of his own. Letting up no earned runs, on 4 hits.
Corey McNamara pitched a scoreless inning in the top half of the 9th to steal the win.
The Sabers got on the board first with a Johhny Cave 2RBI single to plate Ryan Flanagan and Tommy Lenane.
Brighton would capitalize on a Saber miscue and tie the game in the 5th on a Plank fielder's choice.
It would be a stalemate until the bottom of the 9th, when Lenane and Angelo Colucci would hit back to singles. To set up a walk off RBI single by Cave.
Cave had 2 hits an all 3 Sabers RBIs in the victory.
JT Ross tossed all 9 innings and was the tough luck loser for Brighton. |
