Thu, 2 June, 8:00PM, at McConnell Park
South Boston Saints 4, Savin Hill Dodgers 4
Another long night at McConnell Park and another game cut short by light timers.
The dodgers strike first with 2 runs in the first and Carignan pitched well into the fifth inning with one walk and 4 strike outs. With 2 out in the 5th, Dodgers relievers walk 5 batters in a row eventually putting the Saints ahead 4-2. Adam Chochrek came in and held the saints for the rest of the game.
Saints pitching and defense came up in big spots leaving 5 Dodgers base runners in scoring position while only allowing 3 total hits for the game.
Hodor had 2 hits, one monster triple, and 3 RBIs
In the bottom of the ninth, with no outs & the winning run on second and Herzog, Cady, & Hodor coming up to bat the lights went out and ended the game in a tie. |
