Hops escape with a victory in the latest installment of well contested games between the South County rivals. Rathskeller held a 2-1 lead in the 5th thanks to a 2nd inning 2 run bomb by Andrew Smiley and a 8-4-3 triple play in the 3rd after the first two White Fire batters reached base. A Kyle Allen single in the 5th gave WFP a 3-2 lead. Eddie Apice would draw a one out walk in the 8th, then stole second and scored on a Colin Goodwin single to tie it at 3. HOPS push across 3 in the 9th but WFP wont go away as they take advantage of some sketchy defense and tack on a few hits to score two and load em up with 1 out. Ryan Geremia (4 inn, 9 K's) would slam the door with back to back Ks to finish them.
