Jon Story picked up the win in relief as the Thunder moved to 3-0-1 with the victory. Waters went 2 for 4 and Ishmael went 3 for 4 for the Cubs. "Chub" Thompson went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI and Paul Laurin went 2 for 4 with a walk and started the game going the first 4 before Story closed it out. Brian Chen added some excellent defense and speed on the bases with 3 steals.
