Boston Dodgers 6, East Boston Knights 4
The Dodgers ride the "Parkway" to a 6-4 win over the Knights at Brandeis. "Parkway" Merritt threw 5 strong giving up only 3 hits and no earned runs. The Dodgers start with a 3-0 lead after 1, with RBIs from Defusco and zDubin.
The Knights answer in the 3rd with 4 runs: Willie Mercado who doubled in the tying runs with a gap shot to right, then scored on another double by Jon Scull.
The Dodgers get the lead back in the 5th on a double to left by Nick "Saget" Tapper, scoring Ryan and Shatto who had both reached via walks. Tapper stays scorchingly handsome: 3-for-4 w/ 2 runs and 2 rbi.
The Knights got 1-hit ball from Max Ockner for 2 innings, keeping the game close. But Brendan "Hoser" Huber popped his maple-flavored cherry earning his 1st career save south of the border throwing the last 2 frames. Marc Skipper triumphantly secures the final out on a pop up with the potential tying run at bat.
