Not much to say about this one as both teams had their opportunities and the Vipers came out on top. Steve Szathmary picked up his first win as a Viper going 5 innings but it wasn't easy as the A's battled him every at bat. Fabian Alicea came in for the last 2 and pitched solid no hit ball while adding 2 hits and an RBI in 2 at bats. Doug Schofield for the A's and Jimmy Carmilia for the Vipers were the only two with an extra base hit as each hit a double down the opposite lines. Tony Catalano settled things down for the A's holding the Vipers to just 2 runs after the 3rd.
