Malden, MA - The Malden Bulldogs won their sixth straight as they held on to beat the West Roxbury Bluefish tonight, 6-4. Patrick Shanahan started for Malden striking out nine over his 5.2 innings of work. Newcomer Jon Shepard earned his first Yawkey League save as he pitched 1.1 innings striking out three. Shepard came in for Shanahan in the sixth with the tying run at second. Shepard used just five pitches to record the strike out and perserve the win. Brad Tardugno led the offensive attack for the Bulldogs as he knocked in four runs with his perfect 3-for-3 performance at the dish. Marc Hordon connected on a 1-1 offering from Shanahan in the fourth for his first Home Run of 2010.
