One of the best games I have seen in 10 years in the YBL. Great pitching clutch plays and a mistake or two led to this 8 inning extravaganza of quality amateur baseball at Ronan Park. Nick O'Keefe (Beacons) 7IP tossed a 3 hitter and left (with the score tied) in the 8th in favor of Brian Glenn. Glenn gave up the lead run on a balk. BUT, with the bases loaded and 2 out Mike Barthel smashed a 2 run single to walk off with ba huge win. Matt Manganelli pithed 7 and was in line for the victory. This kid pitched his ass off all night long. Kevin Loveless came in in the 8th and blew the save. Chelsea is the Franchise of the Year candidate in the early going. They have become a force in this league. They play with the heart of a lion. Too bad someone had to lose this game. It was a gem from start to finish.
