The Senators Mike Cook and the Cutters Steve Roberts battled it out in the pitching duel of the year. Cook took a no hitter into the 7th when Adam Del Rio broke it up with an infield single. Roberts control was impeccable striking out 10 in 7 innings allowing just 2 hits while walking none. Neither would factor in the decision as the game went into extra innings. In the 9th, Greg Crossman knocked a 1-out double to left. After Adam DelRio was intentionally walked and Tony Ramos drilled a single to left, the stage was set for Tim Melanson. With a 3-2 count, Melanson delivered a bases loaded gap single for the walk off win. Matt Richard earned the win in relief tossing two scoreless innings.
