Eric Harvey throws his 4th CG allowing Tigers to escape Reds last inning rally pulling out a 6-5 win at muggy Chelsea High.
The Tigers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first on a walk, single, and COOOOP (2-3, R, 2 RBI's) RBI single. They would tack 3 more in the 3rd on another Coop RBI single. The lead allowed Harvey (CG W, 5 R, 8 H, 3 K's) and some solid Tiger's D to "drag on" before the Reds made things interesting in the 7th.
The Reds would load the bases on 2 singles and walk before Reds manager, Brett Nowlin picked up his team with a line drive grand slam to right. Some Tiger miscues lead to another Reds run, and aiding to load the bases, before Harvey helped the Tigers to "escape" with a strike out to end the game.
Nadolay pitched valiently in the lost and also helped pitch in offensively going (2-4, 2 SB). The Reds and Tiger matchup resumes next weekend in Hyde Park. |
