Mike McCarthy allowed one hit over six innings and Johnny Welch hit his third home run of the season to lead the Medford Americans to a 7-1 victory over the Mooney Dental Tanners. McCarthy hit a batter and allowed a single in the opening inning before settling down and pitching perfect ball the rest of the way, departing after six full. Colin Barnicle mopped up in the seventh allowing the lone Tanner run on a Keegan DeNapoli RBI single. Welch drove in two with his fourth inning homer. Jake Christman had two hits including a double and drove in two American runs. Mike Burgoyne had an RBI single. Steve Napier, Ryan Maguire and Steve Tahmoush collected the other Medford hits.
