Brighton Brewers 3, Harbor Point Dodgers 1
It took extra innings to break a scoreless tie between the Brewers and the Dodgers. A pitching duel, to say the least, was won by Jeremy Dalton, who pitched all 8 innings to earn the complete game victory. He allowed only 4 hits and collected 7 strikeouts en route to his first win of the 2007 season.
Shaun Farrar matched Dalton through 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits and no runs. But the Brewer offense finally opened up the scoring in the top of the 8th, with 4 consecutive base hits which produced 3 runs before an out was recorded. Marc Skipper relieved Farrar and quieted the Brewers, but the 3 run lead was enough for Dalton to secure the victory. |
