Sean Gildea picked up his third win of the year to improve his record to 3-1. On the hottest day of the summer both Gildea and Rockwell toiled for 5 innings. After 5 the Maddogs led 3-1. Davies hit a bomb to center field to account for the Devils' only run. The heat finally got to both starters and the Maddogs unloaded for 7 runs in the 6th inning. Scott Lynch pitched a scoreless 6th for Medford and Sean Morrissey pitched a 1-2-3 7th in his first appearance of the year. Maguire, Hanley and Lynch each had 2 hits for Medford.
