The White Sox outlasted a gritty Grays team to improve their record to 4-1 on the season. The Sox jumped out to a quick 4 run lead in the 1st keyed by Hoye, Lembo, and Malin singles. The Grays jumped back to tie things in the 3rd with the help of 2 BB's and 4 hits. They then took a 1-run lead in the 4th. The Sox finally jumped ahead for good in the 5th with an Ivan Clemente walk, a Will Bissonette (1-1 2BB's) single, a Jason Hoye sac fly, and a big Dave Martin triple. Matt LoPresti picked up the win going 5 strong innings. Matt Smith slammed the door shut in the final two frames to record the save. Maycock of the Grays pitched well and took the tough loss.
