Sun, 5 June, 4:00PM, at Brighton - Rogers
Roslindale Bluefish 13, Brighton Braves 1
The Bluefish won their 2nd game of the season on the strength of Chris Demers, who threw 6 innings of 2 hit baseball, while walking 2 and striking out 9. Offensively, the Bluefish jumped right out of the gates in the top of the first, where leadoff hitter Omar Kennedy hit a triple to left field, and scored on a Wild Pitch. Sean Glavin added a 2 run single. For the game, eight of the nine starters got at least one hit, led by Glavin's 3 hits and 3 RBI, and multiple hit games by newcomer Ryan McCrann and Jeremy Creveling. Tom Feeley spoiled the no hit bid for the Braves with a leadoff single in the 5th, and later scored the only run. Owen O'Malley was the losing pitcher, falling to 0-2 on the season. |
